Amanemu is set to open in Shima City, Mie Prefecture, the host of the 2016 G7 Summit. The name is derived from "Aman," meaning "peaceful" in Sanskrit, and "Nemu," meaning "joy" in Japanese. The resort is adjacent to an 18-hole championship golf course within Ise-Shima National Park, an area celebrated for its rich culinary heritage, including abundant seafood and grains, and its status as a treasure trove of valuable traditional culture.

Situated at the tip of the Osaki Peninsula, the terraces of the rooms offer views of pearl cultivation rafts and islands dotting Ago Bay. A notable feature is the private onsen hot spring bath in each room. The Aman Spa boasts an expansive onsen facility, including a Watsu pool, four treatment suites, a gym, a yoga studio, and two private onsen baths.

The Japanese cuisine served at the restaurant follows the traditions of "Miketsukuni," an ancient region that supplied abundant seafood and grains to the imperial court and shrines. This culinary heritage is preserved and passed down.
