An Infinity Pool Enjoyable Year-Round
HOSHINOYA Okinawa is the eighth property in the HOSHINOYA brand. It features all oceanfront guest rooms surrounded by the 'Gusuku Wall,' inspired by Okinawa's historic 'Gusuku' sites, as well as various public areas such as a pool open to the sea that can be enjoyed year-round and a dojo serving as a base for activities.
The pool, open towards the sea, offers various ways to spend your time depending on the hour. In the shallow area, just 10 centimeters deep, chairs are placed within the water, allowing you to relax comfortably while seated, even with your clothes on.
This area, built to jut out from the cliff top towards the sea, is an infinity pool measuring 140 centimeters deep and 40 meters long, offering a sense of merging with the sea and sky. The submerged steps, where you can sit, provide a prime spot for watching the sunset. The pool can also be heated up to 40°C, making it enjoyable throughout the year.
All 100 guest rooms are oceanfront. A gentle sea breeze flows through the large windows, allowing you to feel the ocean from anywhere in the room. The building is intentionally low-rise, only two stories, to ensure you can view the sea up close.
Each guest room features a 'Doma Dining' area with a large table for meals, equipped with a large refrigerator and oven range, allowing guests to enjoy cooking in their rooms. The bedroom walls are adorned with original Ryukyu Bingata designs, incorporating stories of traditional crafts and customs passed down in Yomitan Village.
There are three types of guest rooms: 'Fushi' (Star), measuring 93-94 square meters, featuring a sunken living area with sofas arranged around a large square table; 'Haru' (Field), measuring 88-94 square meters, with a 'Terrace Living' area protruding towards the sea; and 'Tin' (Sky), measuring 61 square meters.
For dining, there are 33 in-room dining menu options, allowing guests to finish and enjoy dishes prepared by chefs using in-room cooking appliances at their preferred time. This offers a new way to experience an Okinawan resort. Dining is also available at the main dining room, which serves course meals, and at the adjacent 'Banta Cafe,' perched on a cliff along an inlet.
