A Gathering of Timeless Melodies, Both Old and New
Karen Aoki, a jazz singer who continues to deliver messages that guide modern women and soothe the soul. Having moved between overseas and Japan since childhood, she began her professional artistic activities while attending university. In addition to performing energetically, she has also worked as a radio personality and provided insert songs for films and dramas.
For her latest album, she personally selected a collection of songs that have been sung for generations. From jazz standards like "Sunny" and "C'est si bon" to contemporary hits such as Pharrell Williams' "Happy" and Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," this album reimagines a diverse range of songs, both old and new, with luxurious arrangements.
Furthermore, the album includes a special version of "Never Again," which gained attention as a TV drama insert song, now enhanced with a second verse and titled "Never Again - jazz version -." This is a sophisticated cover album for adults, filled with melodies that capture the essence of life.
