The music project "INCOGNITO," led by producer and guitarist Bluey, has announced their new album 'Amplified Soul.' It was released in Japan ahead of its worldwide release scheduled for mid-May to June.

Treasured Acid Jazz, Updated with Stellar Guests

Incognito, a cornerstone of acid jazz that emerged from the UK club scene in the 1980s, celebrates their 35th anniversary this year. Following their youthful renewal with the previous album 'Surreal' in 2012, their 16th studio album, 'Amplified Soul,' is another captivating lineup that will make you want to move your body.

Particularly eye-catching is the stellar cast of guest artists, sure to excite any acid jazz fan. Among them are vocalist Carleen Anderson, Deborah Bond, whose talent is highly praised in America's neo-soul scene, and Jamiroquai's drummer, Nick Van Gelder.

Furthermore, vocalist Tony Momrelle returns to Incognito after his solo activities. The addition of 22-year-old Kiarra Hunter, currently a music student in London, showcases their further evolution.

The songs are soulful through and through. The lead track, 'Hats (Makes Me Wanna Holler),' is a light, 16-beat sound that inherits the neo-vintage style of 1960s Motown. It reveals a new facet for Incognito, who have traditionally relied on four-on-the-floor rhythms. Their signature groovy music is, of course, also included, with new directions and their signature sound expertly balanced. The Japanese edition also features the bonus track 'Part Of The Plan.'
