The Cuban Pianist Quincy Jones Fell in Love With

Last year, genius pianist Alfred Rodriguez made a striking impression with his guest performance at Quincy Jones' special concert at Blue Note Tokyo. He now returns to Japan with his own unit for the first time in approximately two and a half years. This time, he will take the stage with his new album, "Invasion Parade."

A New Sound Premiering in Japan

Born in Cuba, Rodriguez made his world debut at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in 2006. He moved his base of operations to the United States in 2009 and, in 2012, released his first album, "Sounds of Space," under the complete supervision of Quincy Jones, which garnered overwhelming acclaim.

We look forward to seeing how his rhythmic and innovative sound, incorporating Cuban music, has evolved.
