"HEX LIVE 001" to be Held on Friday, April 11th

A project presented by Blue Note, the jazz label celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2014,Matsuura Toshio Presents HEXwill hold their first solo live performance, "HEX LIVE 001," on Friday, April 11th, at MoonRomantic in Aoyama, Tokyo.

A Premium Night of Live Performance and DJ Play

"Matsuura ToshioPresents HEX" is a project byDJ Matsuura Toshio. The lineup features Sano Kan, who is gaining attention as a next-generation songwriter/keyboardist,Sano Kan, Midori Takada, drummer for SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS, pianist Hiroshi Ito who handles everything from jazz and Latin to film music, and bassist Katsuya Koizumi P, who commands immense trust from fellow musicians. Furthermore, with zAk as the recording engineer, the project transmits current jazz from Tokyo to the world under the name "HEX," signifying hexagon. The debut solo live performance "HEX LIVE 001" will amplify the essence of their debut album "HEX" through live instrumentation. The event will also feature DJ play by Matsuura Toshio, offering a condensed experience of the project's world. Matsuura Toshio Presents HEX is also set to release their work and tour in Europe this May. In 2014, they are poised to deliver an even greater impact than last year.
