View and Vote for Submitted Videos on the Dedicated Website

The "Diners Club Social Jazz Session 2013-14," a video contest held in 2009-2010 that garnered much acclaim, returns after a four-year hiatus. This year's theme is "PLAY YOUR NOTE Where your JAZZ resonates." Jazz musicians are invited to submit videos of themselves performing. Judging will be conducted by viewers' votes, as well as by a panel including Takafumi Mimori, former editor-in-chief of "Swing Journal" and current editor-in-chief of "JAZZ JAPAN," and Kazunori Harada, former editor-in-chief of "Jazz Hihyo."


The selected winners will earn the right to perform at a special live event on Tuesday, April 1, at Blue Note Tokyo, alongside Grammy-winning guitarist Lee Ritenour and other esteemed artists such as Crystal Kay. Furthermore, winners will also receive special entry into the "Six String Theory" jazz competition hosted by Lee Ritenour. Those selected as outstanding participants in this competition will then have the opportunity to participate in the "Montreux Jazz Festival" in Switzerland, a highly coveted event for jazz musicians worldwide.


The public can also view and vote for the submitted performances on the dedicated website at http://socialjazzsession.com/. The viewing period runs until Tuesday, February 18. We encourage you to find your favorite performances and show your support. Additionally, a raffle among voters will award a pair of tickets to the special live event.
