Kemono "Le Kemono Intoxique"
Kemono, a solo unit and art activity launched by jazz vocalist Ame (Ame) in 2010, releases its first full album, "Le Kemono Intoxique," on Wednesday, September 18th, produced entirely by Naruyoshi Kikuchi.

Music Beyond Time and Cultural Genres
This album project began when Naruyoshi Kikuchi heard Kemono's live recording in 2012 and invited them to his event, "MODERN JAZZ DISCOTHEQUE Shinjuku." Kikuchi served as producer, handling saxophone, vocals, lyric writing, track making, cover selection, styling, and artwork (also as photographer).
Kemono's songs are characterized by Ame's coquettish yet innocent vocals and unique lyrics that blend childlike innocence with a touch of madness.
The sound is also exceptionally luxurious, featuring track making skillfully produced by Naruyoshi Kikuchi and the energetic performances of emerging musicians making waves in the jazz scene.
The album opens with the jazz standard "MY FOOLISH HEART" and features covers of songs from various genres. Tracks like Michael Jackson's "BEAT IT" and the bossa nova classic "DAY BY DAY" are rearranged with a jazzy flair. Listeners can fully appreciate the richness of Ame's vocal range and the skill and sensibility of the supporting musicians.
"Le Kemono Intoxique," which packages a new worldview unlike anything seen from Japanese artists before, can be described as a unique musical work that transcends time and cultural genres.
