Aerosmith's Cinema Live Performance: "Rock for the Rising Sun"
In the late autumn of 2011, as many artists canceled their visits to Japan following an unprecedented disaster, Aerosmith pushed ahead with their Japan tour against considerable opposition. The documentary "Rock for the Rising Sun," capturing their performances from that time and their daily lives on tour, will be screened in cinemas across 16 prefectures from Saturday, July 13 to Friday, July 19.

Original Message from Aerosmith to Japanese Fans to Be Screened Exclusively
"Rock for the Rising Sun" marks the first live footage from Aerosmith in nine years, since the release of "You Gotta Move" in 2004. Ahead of their return to Japan this August, the film—showcasing their spectacular stage performance, delivered after they decided to come to Japan despite warnings due to the unprecedented disaster of earthquakes, tsunamis, and meltdowns—will be screened on screens nationwide.
The 2011 Japan tour, their first in approximately seven and a half years, drew a total of 100,000 fans across eight performances in seven cities. This tour, which featured many nostalgic songs, is presented here with carefully selected full-length live footage as well as off-the-record moments. Audiences can enjoy scenes that are at times moving and at times filled with humor.

Furthermore, the film will include an original message video for their Japanese fans, making it an unmissable event.
Amidst the sorrow that had enveloped Japan following the earthquake, Aerosmith offered courage through their music, and people gathered to witness their show. This screening is an opportunity to feel anew the strength of the bond forged between the band and their fans.
