DJ Sunaga Tatsuo from Japan as Co-Producer

'Jukka Eskola Orquesta Bossa,' where Jukka Eskola, active in the club jazz scene, pays homage to jazz and Brazilian music, will be released in Japan about six months earlier than in Finland and other overseas countries. DJ Sunaga Tatsuo, a friend of Jukka Eskola and deeply connected to the global jazz scene, serves as co-producer, along with Teppo Mäkynen, also the drummer for The Five Corners Quintet. This release serves as a bridge of friendship between Japan and Finland.

This work, which fuses Brazilian music with elegant Northern European arrangements, consists entirely of original compositions, with the exception of three cover songs. Although it is an almost instrumental album, the two vocal tracks feature appearances by chihiRo from Japan and Keisii Costa, a Japanese-Brazilian artist. chihiRo delivered a profound performance by setting Japanese lyrics to Finnish singer Ville Rönkkö's 'Wien,' while Keisii Costa covered the masterpiece 'Brigas Nunca Mais' by Antônio Carlos Jobim, included as a bonus track on the Japanese edition.

With the addition of arrangements by the four-string ensemble Proton String Quartet from Finland, and meticulous attention to sound quality through analog tape, the music matures into a content that will satisfy even jazz fans. The clear, dignified, and grand-scale bossa nova from Finland, the land of lakes, gracefully accompanies sophisticated adult evenings.
