First Event in Six Months

GINZA MUSIC BAR is an authentic bar featuring a high-end audio system and a music space curated by dedicated music selectors, offering vinyl-based selections. It is the brainchild of music producer Takeshi Kobayashi, Shinichi Osawa, and coffee producer Nobuhiro Toba.

Here, Shuya Okino's regular event, "MISSION," will be held for the first time in six months.

As the title suggests, it shares the same name as the album "KYOTO JAZZ SEXTET" released in April 2015. Okino's selections, while rooted in the jazz grooves cultivated over his 25-year DJ career, go beyond danceable jazz to include orthodox jazz that can be enjoyed with solemnity, all centered around the keyword "JAZZ."

You can enjoy a wide spectrum of jazz, from hard bop, funky jazz, and mode jazz, focusing on tracks from the 70s and 80s, as well as their successors.

Regarding this event, Okino commented, "For all the adults who love drinks and style. Beginners are also very welcome. Feel free to just listen and drink. Or, use it as background music to woo someone. Of course, you can also listen to danceable jazz while at the counter or on the sofa, and let the desire to dance play within your body... I'd love for those who used to gather on the terrace in Ginza's 3-chome every month to come as well. I hope to see you in 7-chome this time."
