A Limited Edition Cat's Eye Model Appears to Commemorate the Award
In December 2015, the "François Perregaux Award" was presented by Swiss watch brand Girard-Perregaux to pianist Hiromi Uehara. In conjunction with this award, a special limited edition model has been released from Girard-Perregaux's Cat's Eye collection.

Two Special "Cat's Eye" Models in Pink Gold and Stainless Steel
The "François Perregaux Award" was established to honor the achievements of François Perregaux, a member of the Girard-Perregaux founding family and the founder of Japan's first authorized Swiss watch dealership. In 2015, the award was presented to pianist Hiromi Uehara, renowned for her dynamic and passionate performances that captivate audiences worldwide. On December 17, 2015, the award was presented by Girard-Perregaux CEO Antonio Calce.
To commemorate this award, Girard-PerregauxCat's Eye Collectionintroduces two models in pink gold and stainless steel. These models are limited editions, specially designed for Ms. Uehara, who is active on the global jazz scene.
The limited edition of 7 pink gold models features a dial adorned with a passage from Ms. Uehara's work "Place to Be." "Place to Be" is one of her signature pieces, having received the Gold Award at the 43rd Jazz Disk Awards hosted by Swing Journal magazine and the Jazz Albums of the Year at the Billboard Japan Music Awards 2009.
The stainless steel model, limited to 24 pieces, features a piano keyboard design on its dial. The keyboard motif surrounding the small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock expresses the dynamic sound and vibrant rhythms that Ms. Uehara creates through her music.
Girard-Perregaux'sCat's Eye Collectionis known for its emotionally resonant themes, combining femininity with intricate craftsmanship. In this special model, which fuses horological expertise with artistic flair, the in-house manufactured automatic mechanical movement, Caliber GP03300, can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back, showcasing its meticulous finishing.
