Thomas Dolby's Japan Tour Approaches!
Hailed in the 80s as the "Magician of Electro-Pop,"Ryuichi Sakamotohe collaborated with artists such as David Bowie, Prefab Sprout, Foreigner, and Joni Mitchell. Still active today as a keyboardist, producer, and inventor (!), Thomas Dolby will present a rare club performance.

Special Message from RYUICHI SAKAMOTO
When did I first meet Thomas? Perhaps over 30 years ago.
I visited the studio where he was recording "She Blinded Me With Science."
Witnessing his meticulous and intellectual approach to track production there left a strong impression on me.
Later, we would create a work called "Field Work" together, where he also took on the role of music video director. His equally intelligent and pop-oriented approach to visuals was also highly influential.

Hello, this is Thomas Dolby.
This will be my first live performance in Japan. It's happening on Friday, February 17th, and Saturday, February 18th, at Blue Note Tokyo. This debut visit to Japan was made possible by my old friend Ryuichi Sakamoto, who encouraged me that now was the perfect time to come and perform in Japan.
Fortunately, everyone at Blue Note Tokyo has cleared their schedule for me for two nights. So, to all of you watching this, please come to Blue Note Tokyo to hear us play.
We'll be performing songs from my latest album, "A Map of the Floating City," as well as older tracks like "She Blinded Me with Science," "Europa and the Pirate Twins," "Hyperactive," and "Field Work," which I created with Ryuichi Sakamoto. We look forward to seeing you there.
Thomas Dolby, the genius who had a major hit with the solo single "She Blinded Me With Science" in '82, performed with Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder at the '85 Grammy Awards. After venturing into internet-related businesses in the 90s, he returned to the music scene in 2006. His latest album, "A Map of the Floating City," is generating significant buzz. Now, Thomas Dolby is making a sudden visit to Japan!
This performance is sure to excite both long-time fans from the 80s and new fans alike!
