Daft Punk, close to the director, provides songs like 'One More Time'

This film is set against the trajectory of the musical movement known as 'French Touch,' which originated in France's dance music scene in the 1990s and spread globally. It depicts the protagonist Paul's success and eventual setbacks as a DJ riding the waves of the era in Paris's vibrant club scene, along with his love and friendships over 20 years, presented in two parts.

The director is Mia Hansen-Løve, a rising talent gaining international attention. The protagonist is modeled after her older brother, Sven Hansen-Løve, who has been active as a DJ for 20 years and also participated in the script. Daft Punk and others contributed music to the film's soundtrack. While incorporating real-life episodes, it recreates the authentic club scenes as if capturing the fervor of Paris at that time.

University student Paul is passionate about music, especially garage. As soon as he forms the DJ duo 'Cheers' with his best friend, they become popular in the Paris club scene and quickly climb the ladder of success. In this paradise filled with electro beats, he enjoys fun times with his friends.

However, this 'sweet life' gradually begins to disrupt Paul's life. While those around him mature, he drowns himself in alcohol and drugs, accumulates debt, and his relationships with lovers repeatedly fall apart. Eventually, the music Paul creates also drifts further away from the cutting-edge club scene.
