Changing, sauna, and relaxation all in one private room
In Finland, the home of saunas, public saunas are almost always used in groups. Against this backdrop, "Solo Sauna tune," Japan's first facility offering a completely private sauna experience, has opened in Kagurazaka.
At "Solo Sauna tune," everything from changing clothes to the sauna room, cool-down with cold water, and relaxation is completed within a single private space. You can enjoy saunas casually without worrying about being seen by others, and safely even during the pandemic.
The sauna stove is directly imported from Finland, the home of saunas. The facility is supervised by Daisuke Akiyama, who has experienced saunas worldwide and is known as a leading figure in entertainment saunas.
The walls and ceiling are unified in dark gray, with lighting solely from indirect sources. The stylish yet calm space allows for relaxation. Unlike the high-temperature dry saunas common in Japan, the temperature here is around 70-80 degrees Celsius, not excessively hot, and can be adjusted to your preference with löyly. The steam makes breathing comfortable, allowing you to warm up thoroughly from deep within your body. The 2-meter-long bench allows you to stretch your legs or lie down and relax. During your relaxation time, you can connect your smartphone to the in-room speakers via Bluetooth or wired connection and play your favorite music to create your own personalized relaxation experience.
In addition to private rooms for individual use, there are also larger private rooms that can accommodate groups of up to three people of the same gender. It seems enjoyable to rent out the sauna with friends, colleagues, or family.
Reservations are also being accepted with an opening commemorative ticket, which is 500 yen cheaper than usual per person, until January 31, 2021 (Sunday).
