Japan's first fully private, authentic Finnish sauna for solo use, "Solo Sauna tune," is scheduled to open in Kagurazaka, Tokyo, in November 2020.

Solo Sauna tune offers a fully private sanctuary where you can change, enjoy the sauna, cool down with cold water, and relax, all within your own private room. This reservable sauna is ideal for those concerned about COVID-19 or who feel uncomfortable sharing spaces with others.

This sauna was supervised by Daisuke Akiyama, who has explored saunas in 10 countries, primarily in Northern Europe, and has spearheaded numerous sauna-related projects, including the establishment of the "Japan Sauna Society."

You can enjoy a sauna room with a stove imported from Finland in complete privacy. Because it's a private space, you can perform Finnish löyly—a bathing method that promotes sweating by pouring water onto sauna stones to create steam—at your own preferred time. Another key feature is the freedom to relax as you please, whether by lying down on the bench inside the sauna room or playing your own music.

The cold water is maintained at a constant temperature of around 15°C year-round by a cooling system. Each private room is equipped with a large 400mm overhead shower capable of a powerful drenching to cool the entire body from the head down, as well as a showerhead that can deliver a fine mist of adjustable-temperature cold water.

After refreshing yourself, a private relaxation space unified in dark gray awaits, designed to facilitate focus and meditation. Sitting in the armchair, a soft breeze from the subtle lighting and wide-circulating fan gently envelops your body.
