Keiko Toda in N.Y. During a Short Break
A Quick Break in N.Y.
After Wrapping Up Filming in KyotoI went on a literal "bullet" trip for three nights, this time to NEW YORK.

A Fulfilling Whirlwind
I went to N.Y. in July last yearso it's been almost a year. Bette Midler is performing on Broadway right now, and I really wanted to see her. That's why I pushed for N.Y. as our company trip destination. (laughs)
Since it was only three nights, including the Wednesday in the middle, I managed to see four shows.
● Anastasia
● War Paint
● Hello, Dolly!
● Come From Away
All of them were wonderful. Among them, Patti LuPone, 68, in "War Paint," and Bette Midler, 71, in "Hello, Dolly!" were simply breathtaking! Their immense power is truly admirable. The applause didn't stop. This is why I can't stop visiting N.Y. (laughs)
Although it was a short stay, my trip was centered around the theater! Everyone else seemed to have actively explored N.Y. on their own. I also managed to see friends in N.Y. with every spare moment I had – a truly fulfilling whirlwind!
Speaking of which, this was my first time taking a night bus tour. I've been visiting N.Y. once a year for over 30 years, but this is my first bus tour. (laughs)
Feeling the night breeze was wonderful, and the night view was beautiful. It's fun to do these kinds of events with everyone. It was lively in front of Trump Tower. Bloomingdale's, which I hadn't visited in a while, had changed completely, and my favorite mint chocolate was gone. But N.Y., the energetic city, the city that never sleeps, remains the same. Although it was over in a flash, I want to work hard and go again.
After my short break, it's time to shift gears towards my 60th-anniversary live performance! I sincerely look forward to seeing many of you there.
