Fruity Flavors Take Center Stage
The new item, 'The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Licensed Dram,' is the second release in the 'The Glenlivet Original Stories' limited edition series of 'The Glenlivet 12 Year Old.'
This series delves into the lesser-known lineage of The Glenlivet, a single malt Scotch whisky that has shaped the history of Speyside single malts, as the original single malt. Each year, a limited edition whisky is released with a different theme, conveying the brand's DNA throughout the series.
'The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Licensed Dram' is crafted using first-fill double oak maturation, paying homage to founder George Smith's acquisition of the first whisky distilling license in the Livet Valley in 1824.
Utilizing two types of casks – first-fill bourbon casks and first-fill European oak casks – it recreates the signature fruity style of 'The Glenlivet 12 Year Old.'
The packaging is also unique to this limited edition, featuring a rounded bottle inspired by the oldest existing Glenlivet bottle and a box design that motifs the first license certificate.
