Hotel New Otani (Tokyo) is offering the "Vesper Martini," a cocktail named after the woman James Bond loved in the "007" film series, until Friday, December 31, 2021.

"You Only Live Twice," a "007" film set and shot in Japan, was released in 1967. The Hotel New Otani, which opened in 1964 as the tallest hotel in the East, served as the villain's hideout in the movie, and James Bond's infiltration scenes were filmed there, making it a sacred site for filming in Japan.

The "Vesper Martini," available since Friday, October 1st, is named after a Bond girl from a film in the series released in 2006. As the famous line goes, "Shaken not stirred," it is prepared by shaking rather than the usual stirring.

The "Vesper Martini" offered this time combines gin with vodka and the aperitif wine Lillet Blanc, garnished with a lemon twist instead of an olive.
