Grand Hyatt Tokyo to Offer "Creole Cuisine" for 10 Days Only



From April 9 (Thursday) to April 18 (Saturday), Grand Hyatt Tokyo will present a limited-time course menu where guests can savor "Creole cuisine," a fusion of diverse global food cultures. The menu will be crafted by Chris Shepherd, a chef currently making waves in the United States.

Dinner Event to Connect with the Chef



What is "Creole cuisine"? It's a culinary tradition over 200 years old, featuring American-native ingredients seasoned with the abundant spices of Spain and French-style sauces. While its cooking styles have evolved over time, it remains deeply popular, particularly in its birthplace, New Orleans, and across the US.

Presenting this "Creole cuisine" is guest chef Chris Shepherd, making his first visit to Japan. Chef Shepherd is one of America's most talked-about chefs, having received the James Beard Award, often called the "Oscars of food," in 2014. The course menu is a collaboration between Chef Shepherd and Adam Noffsinger, the Head Chef of "Oak Door," the steakhouse venue.

On April 11 (Saturday), a special dinner event will be held, offering a chance to interact with Chef Shepherd. The menu will feature five dishes of his signature Texas-style Creole cuisine, paired with wines from Napa Valley.
