Cattisark was born in London in 1923. Primarily using malts from Scotland's Speyside region, known as a renowned whisky-producing area, including The Macallan and Glenrothes, it achieves a mellow and refined taste. The brand was named after the "Cattisark," which was the fastest ship of its time, to symbolize the brand's adventurous spirit.
Its greatest characteristic is its drinkability. Furthermore, at the time of its creation, when dark caramel-colored whiskies were the standard, Cattisark's lack of excessive coloring was met with surprise by many whisky enthusiasts. Today, it is known not only for being enjoyed neat or with water but also as a whisky that can be used as a base for cocktails.

The "Cattisark Sailing Edition," launched this time, features bottles designed with Japanese ports, inspired by the brand's symbol, the Cattisark ship, in four series, sold in limited quantities. The series begins with a design bottle featuring Otaru Port, known as one of Japan's most beautiful ports. Limited edition bottles for Yokohama Port, Kobe Port, and Fukuoka Port are scheduled to be released sequentially by September 2015.
This "Cattisark Sailing Edition," which seems to race from north to south through Japan's representative ports alongside the Cattisark ship, is a must-have. We encourage you to complete the collection of bottles depicting these beautiful port towns.
