Simultaneous Technical Training for 25,000 Baristas Nationwide
This renewal introduces three major changes. First, Starbucks has switched to a special Starbucks milk with a richer, more aromatic flavor, achieved by increasing the milk's fat content. Additionally, efforts have been made to improve the freshness of the coffee beans, ensuring they are delivered to stores in a fresher state. Furthermore, all approximately 25,000 baristas nationwide have undergone simultaneous technical training, including milk steaming.
Concurrently, the "Mastrena" espresso machines are being upgraded sequentially. These changes are set to revitalize Starbucks Lattes and other espresso drinks with enhanced flavor.
This marks the first comprehensive renewal of the Starbucks Latte since the opening of the first store in Japan in 1996, a span of 18 years. In conjunction with the product renewal, prices for some of the affected drinks will change starting October 1st (Wednesday).
