The "Grand Cru at the Restaurant" event concluded with great success in its previous two installments. This special event is exclusively for those registered to Restaurant-I's email newsletter. Details for the third installment will be announced on August 15 (Thursday).
The first event featured "Château de Valandraud 1994" from Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, and the second featured "Romanée-Saint-Vivant Les Quatre Journaux" from Burgundy. Both are known as connoisseur's wines that impress wine enthusiasts worldwide.
Château de Valandraud's vineyard was established in 1989. Though a relatively new estate, the grapes cultivated with meticulous care by the renowned Jean-Luc Thunevin have rapidly ascended to the ranks of top-tier wines. The 1994 vintage, in particular, is highly acclaimed as an exceptional year.
The Romanée-Saint-Vivant Les Quatre Journaux from the second event is a wine nurtured by a producer with over 200 years of history. The vineyard name "Quatre Journaux" originates from "Jurnal," an old unit of measurement for vineyard size. "Quatre Journaux" signifies the area a man can work in four days, approximately 1.3 hectares. However, the actual vineyard is only about 0.7 hectares, yielding just 2,500 bottles annually, making it a highly rare wine.
In this special event, these normally hard-to-obtain wines are offered at special prices. Both the first and second installments sold out due to high demand.
Details for the highly anticipated third installment will be revealed in the email newsletter scheduled for release on August 15 (Thursday). This is a unique opportunity to savor exceptional wines, rarely encountered, at reasonable prices. As quantities are limited and expected to sell out quickly, early newsletter registration and reservations are highly recommended.
