Enjoy Renowned Chefs' Cuisine at Reasonable Prices
While Italian cuisine is familiar to the Japanese palate, the first "Diners Club Italian Restaurant Week 2013" is being held as a "Festival of Italian Cuisine" with the aim of further promoting the depth and breadth of Italian culture and tradition through gastronomy.
With the cooperation of the Italian Cuisine Association of Japan, leading chefs from Japan's Italian culinary scene, from veterans to rising stars, including Chef Tsutomu Ochiai of "La Bettola da Ochiai," will gather. Through the excellence of Italian ingredients and wines, and the chefs' skills, the event aims to deeply appeal to Italy's charm and invigorate the entire Italian restaurant industry.
The participating restaurants offer a wide selection, ranging from casual eateries to popular, high-end establishments that one might dream of visiting, with over 130 in total.

During the event, participating restaurants will offer a "Special Course" (planned) consisting of antipasto, primo piatto, secondo piatto, and dolce. Lunch will be available at ¥2,000 or ¥5,000, and dinner at ¥3,000, ¥5,000, or ¥10,000.
You can enjoy special menus from top chefs and emerging talents at more reasonable prices than usual. General reservations are scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 26th.
Chef Tsutomu Ochiai, president of the Italian Cuisine Association of Japan, expressed his enthusiasm: "We want this to be an event where people can rediscover Italy's culture and regional characteristics through its cuisine, not just by offering special course menus at special prices. During the event, many restaurants and unique chefs will be waiting for you. Please join us for this event that will broaden the depth and variety of Italian food culture!"
These 16 days of gastronomy offer an opportunity to discover restaurants you never knew existed and the profound charm of Italy. This is also a perfect chance to experience those high-end restaurants that may have seemed a bit out of reach.
