Embodying the Craftsmanship Born from Producers' High Skill and Passion

The "Master Origin" series, Nespresso's new permanent lineup that achieves "single origin" using only coffee beans selected from single countries of origin, comprises a total of five series, each imbued with the high skill and special dedication of the artisans (masters) involved in coffee production in their respective countries.

The "Master Origin" series focuses not only on "terroir"—the natural environment of coffee-producing countries such as soil, climate, and altitude that shape the coffee's flavor—but also on the coffee's manufacturing process, including the producers' handiwork (harvesting and refining methods), to create coffees that further embody craftsmanship. Furthermore, the procurement of these coffee beans is made possible through long-standing trust built with producers and agronomists via Nespresso's unique "AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program."

"Master Origin India" employs the "Monsoon process," which carefully exposes coffee beans to monsoons and the heat of India.

This yields a coffee with a powerful body and complex aromas reminiscent of wood and spices.

"Master Origin Indonesia," refined in the humid climate of North Sumatra, Indonesia, uses a method called "wet-hulling (Sumatran style)" where coffee beans are fermented overnight and then hand-washed to regulate their moisture content. This results in an aroma like lush rainforests, a smoky scent, and a velvety, rich mouthfeel.

For "Master Origin Colombia," the harvesting of coffee cherries is delayed by approximately 15 days or more beyond the usual picking time, allowing the sugars from the fruit pulp to deeply penetrate the coffee beans.

This coffee, created by a select few producers who can discern the precise moment for harvest, offers a wine-like flavor and fruity aroma.

And "Master Origin Nicaragua," produced using a special Black Honey process where the mucilage, a sticky substance on the coffee bean skin, is left on during drying, allows you to savor a cup where a satin-smooth mouthfeel harmonizes with a sweet aroma.

Characterized by a vibrant floral aroma, "Master Origin Ethiopia" is dried on traditional raised African beds

under the generous sun, resulting in a coffee with vivid flavors and a rich aroma.

These five coffees from the "Master Origin" series have newly joined the lineup, bringing the total number of Nespresso capsule coffees to 25. We hope you will enjoy a blissful cup, imbued with the passion, dedication, and advanced coffee processing techniques of artisans from five countries, through this new series.
