Sweet, aromatic, and smoky.
Lagavulin is a single malt Scotch whisky crafted at a beautiful distillery on the shores of Lagavulin Bay on Islay, the spiritual home of Scotch whisky in Scotland. This Islay malt, beloved by many enthusiasts for its passionate, smoky, and rich character, now welcomes the highly anticipated 8-year-old expression as a permanent addition.
Previously, only "Lagavulin 16 Year Old" was available, with the "Lagavulin 8 Year Old" having had only one limited release in 2016. Its flavor profile perfectly captures the essence of Lagavulin with its sweet, aromatic smokiness.
This "Lagavulin 8 Year Old" also received a high score of 97 points at the "Ultimate Spirits Challenge (USC) 2018," a prestigious global spirits competition held in New York. It was awarded the Chairman's Trophy, the highest honor in the Single Malt Scotch Whisky Islay category, as well as the Great Value award, recognizing its exceptional quality for its price.
A taste recognized by the world. It's worth savoring.
