An Enjoyable, Intellectual, and Engaging Time Experienced with Unique Guests
When we reconsider the humble bento box, which we eat and see so casually every day, we discover a wealth of previously unnoticed scenes beyond it.—Masamichi Toyama is launching a school to explore the question, "What is delicious?" by inviting a diverse range of guests connected to food, centered around the theme of the bento box.
For the first session, food director Yuriko Nomura will lead a class on the theme of "Color and White," and for the second, KIGI (Ryosuke Uehara and Yoshie Watanabe) will focus on "Beautiful Bento." Participants are asked to bring their own handmade bento box according to the theme of the day. Toyama and the guest speaker will also bring their bento boxes, and everyone will share and discuss them. This initiative encourages us to re-examine our own memories of bento boxes, something inherent in all Japanese people, and to seek out what makes them "delicious."
