Elevate Your Daily Healthy & Sports Life
Even in Italy, a nation of mineral water with around 260 companies, high-quality natural mineral water is rare. Among these, Sangemini, a renowned Italian mineral water, is cherished as "the first water babies taste."

The "Safety" of Drinking Water is a Given. The Selection Criterion is Consideration for "Health."
Quality standards for natural mineral water in Europe are stricter than in Japan. One reason for this may be the difference in what is expected from drinking water between Japan and Europe. While Japan prefers "safe drinking water," Europe tends to favor "drinking water for health." Consequently, in Europe, the environmental protection of natural mineral water sources is thorough, and it is mandated that the water, as it springs forth, be bottled directly without any treatment such as filtration, sedimentation, or heating.
Sangemini's water source, a premium natural mineral water with a 120-year history in Italy, is protected within a conservation area of approximately 1043 hectares in the verdant region of Umbria, an area larger than 200 Tokyo Domes. Its stringent environmental measures have been recognized within Europe's strict environmental protection policies, leading to its registration in the EU's Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS*1) in 2004.

Sangemini's water originates from rain that falls on the Apennine Mountains, crossing the Italian peninsula. This rainwater slowly percolates through marble layers rich in calcium, eventually merging with other water veins before resurfacing as a spring. It takes approximately 30 years for the rain to seep into the ground and emerge again as spring water. This long passage of time results in water rich in minerals. The subtle effervescence, which is pleasant on the palate, comes from trace amounts of carbonic acid dissolved from the marble layers. For Italians, who are adept at natural and sophisticated lifestyles, Sangemini, which allows them to incorporate the blessings of nature into their daily lives, is cherished as "the first water babies taste."
A "Soft Taste Despite Being Hard Water," Created by Its Calcium-Rich Composition
Classified as "high-hardness water" based on the classification of water by hardness (*2), Sangemini has a hardness of 890mg/L. However, in terms of water hardness calculated by the sum of calcium and magnesium concentrations, Sangemini has a high calcium concentration and a relatively low magnesium concentration. This may be one of the reasons why it is favored even by Japanese people accustomed to soft water.
This calcium-rich water can enhance the acidity and mellow the bitterness of coffee, for example. In cooking, calcium helps to soften the components that toughen meat, making it ideal for stews and braised dishes. Most importantly, it conveniently supports the lifestyle of Japanese people, who tend to be deficient in calcium, simply by drinking water.
Furthermore, with the recent surge in amateur athletes, including runners and cyclists, Sangemini is gaining attention as a natural mineral water that can replenish minerals lost during exercise along with hydration. Its slightly effervescent mouthfeel provides a refreshing sensation to a dry throat, and many find it "easier to drink during exercise than soft water." Carefully selecting the "water" you drink every day can transform your body. And a healthy body will undoubtedly change your lifestyle. Incorporating Sangemini, which captures its abundant natural mineral content directly into the bottle, into your daily routine seems to be the shortcut to achieving this.
