A Vivid Photobook Focusing on Both Tableware and Cuisine: "LIVE: Tableware and Cuisine"
The project's theme is “to eat is to live.” The first photobook, "LIVE: Tableware and Cuisine to eat is to live," has been released from the project "LIVE: Tableware and Cuisine," launched by three tableware artisans, a food creator, a photographer, a designer, a planner, a gallerist, and other creators and expressers living in the same era.

Food and Tableware: Their Positions and Sentiments
The project "LIVE: Tableware and Cuisine" brought together professionals who normally work in fields related to food and living. They convened after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. The project began with a focus on cherishing "LIVE = Here and Now, Unrepeatable."
The photobook "LIVE: Tableware and Cuisine" was created over two years, with over 6,000 photographs taken. It celebrates being born in Japan, a land of four seasons, by carefully preparing seasonal vegetables, arranging them on tableware, and meticulously photographing the process. Unlike previous books on tableware or cuisine, this is a collection that firmly focuses on both tableware and food.
Where Tableware Exists, Cuisine Comes Alive
Communication Director Tetsuo Miura (51%) states, "In this project, we have engaged in activities that fully leverage the sense of 'LIVE,' unbound by conventional values. With this book, we aim to convey the essence of 'receiving food' to both domestic and international audiences through the beauty of tableware and cuisine that transcends the category of 'Japanese food.' While it may be a bit expensive for a book, we aimed for a finished product with intrinsic value, much like a piece of tableware."
