Italian Cooking Book 2

Ai Yonezawa's "Italian Cooking Book 2" (published by Anonymas Studio, ¥1995), released this June, is also prominently displayed.

This book transcends the boundaries of traditional recipe collections, offering insights born from Yonezawa's experiences traveling through Italy and immersing herself in its diverse landscapes.

Recipes that highlight the natural flavors of ingredients—such as grilled seasonal vegetables, dried figs with butter, and ripe tomatoes—along with striking, full-page photographs of the dishes, seem to evoke the very air of Italy's natural environment.

Illustrator Yuko Yamamoto, who adds color to the display, is also adept at paper cutting.

"PAPER FOOD" (published by Utrecht, ¥1680), a collection of her paper-cut artworks inspired by food, has been a long-standing favorite since its release.

For this exhibition, she has skillfully cut delicate papers to resemble grated vegetables and other elements, creating a delightful display.

The hand-drawn illustrations in the window facing Yasukuni Dori are also a highlight.
