Capturing the Stones of "That Era" Up Close
In 1972, The Rolling Stones left behind two legends. One was the release of their masterpiece, "Exile on Main St.," and the other was the documentary film "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN," shot during their North American tour where they unveiled their newly completed songs.
However, there was another legend from 1972, one that was recorded in photographs. This is the photo collection "The Rolling Stones in 1972" by Jim Marshall, known by the moniker "King of Rock and Roll Photographers."
"Whether you can get close to your subject, that's everything."
One day, Jim came and became one of the Stones.
"He dropped our pants."
— Keith Richards (from the foreword)
On their 50th anniversary, this foreword by Keith Richards gave its seal of approval, bringing a close to the legend of 1972. This photo collection, which captures not only the live performances and recording sessions but also the relaxed state of The Stones on their private jet, is truly shocking.
A photo collection of the "King of Rock and Roll's" elusive moments, captured by the "King of Rock and Roll Photographers." You cannot speak of The Rolling Stones without getting your hands on this!
