Photographed Over a Year, Capturing Flowers in Every Season

"FLOWERS" is a photobook that brings together Masato Kawai, a floral coordinator active in magazines, advertisements, and events, and Naoto Okawa, known for his stylish photography and videography, particularly for CD jackets, music videos, and advertisements.

Using analog positive film, this meticulously crafted volume was created over a year, with photographs taken only when truly exceptional flowers were encountered throughout the changing seasons.



The ephemeral beauty of flowers. At the shooting locations, the flowers, illuminated by lights, seemed to move with a life of their own, unfolding a noble and mystical spectacle. Amidst this, the fleeting brilliance and perfect beauty, from bud to full bloom and decay, were captured by Kawai and Okawa.

The beauty of flowers, poised as if about to stir. It is a collection to be savored by hand.
