Elegant Portraits of Objects Selected with a Unique Aesthetic Sensibility
After studying computer science at university and working as a software developer, Ling Meng is now considered one of China's leading young artists. In addition to participating in group exhibitions as an artist, she is active in various fields including illustration, typography design, fashion, and installations, positioning herself as a driving force in China's art scene despite her youth.
The first solo exhibition in the world by the multi-talented Ling Meng is being held at Diesel Art Gallery. The venue showcases a collection of works including specimens created from uniquely collected natural elements such as plants, flowers, minerals, and soil, alongside graphic designs and photographs.
The collection features works meticulously selected and gathered, such as leaves with countless insect-induced holes and flowers. These are presented as beautiful yet ephemeral and elegant portraits that captivate viewers. In addition, a diverse range of works including typography, graphic design, specimens, and photographs will be on display.
Born from the idea, "Can I express the diverse world more simply? If so, perhaps I can capture even 'time,'" these works are imbued with "eternal time." We invite you to experience the world of Ling Meng, an artist whose future endeavors are highly anticipated.
