Artist Talk Also Held on Friday, February 20th

Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1967, Sakiko Nomura began her apprenticeship under the renowned photographer Araki Nobuyoshi, known as "Araki," in 1991. Since 1993, she has actively held exhibitions in Tokyo, as well as in Europe and Asia.

She has published numerous photobooks, including "Hadaka no Jikan" (Heibonsha), "Yakan Hikou" (Little More), and "nude/aroom/flowers" (match&company), primarily featuring monochrome male nudes.

This exhibition, titled "Flower," is the fourth in a series following "hotel pegasus," "sex/snow," and "TAMANO." It was conceived starting in the winter of 2013 by Yoshihiro Ichihana of publisher Libroarte, designer Kei Machiguchi who also handles the photobook design, Yosuke Fujiki of B Gallery, and Nomura herself. The exhibition will display and sell photographs selected from Nomura's extensive body of work, focusing on the flowers she has captured over many years.

During the exhibition, on Friday, February 20th, an artist talk will be held starting at 6:00 PM, with Yoshihiro Ichihana and Kei Machiguchi as guests. The photobook of the same title, "Flowers," will also be published by Libroarte to coincide with this exhibition.

The enchanting flowers depicted by Nomura, which transform over time, will surely transport us to another world.
