Rikako Nagashima × Kenmei Nagaoka × Takahiro Hiranuma Talk Event

AAF (NPO Art and Architect Festa) aims to foster social environments through architecture and art via various exhibitions and workshops. Graphic designer Rikako Nagashima will be the guest for the event, taking place on Sunday, February 23rd, at D&DEPARTMENT OSAKA in Minami-Horie, Osaka City.

In this talk event, designer Kenmei Nagaoka will engage in conversation with the guest, while architect Takahiro Hiranuma will serve as moderator. The series aims to foster cross-disciplinary perspectives on design by discussing current feelings within each of their respective fields. The "Serial Talk Event (Designer Series)" is planned to feature a different guest each time, with a total of four sessions to be held at the same venue.

The first guest is Rikako Nagashima, a designer who has worked on numerous projects. While her work is rooted in graphic design, she is active across a wide range of fields, including branding, package design, product design, and art direction for advertisements.

Her notable works include "PEACE SHADOW PROJECT" (produced) with contemporary artist Tatsuo Miyajima, "Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week" (graphic design), the poster design for Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media's "YCAM 10th Anniversary Concert," and the book cover for Ryuichi Sakamoto and Kunio Suzuki's "Melancholy of the Patriot."

Furthermore, under her own brand "HUMAN_NATURE," she released her first clothing line last year. This year, on February 12th (Wednesday), she launched the "FREE HAND BAG," a collaborative bag with BAOBAO ISSEY MIYAKE, expanding her activities into fashion and product design.

The venue is D&DEPARTMENT OSAKA, a space designed by Hiranuma and produced by Nagaoka. This marks the first female guest for an AAF-hosted event in some time. Why not join us for an evening of design talk with these three individuals on a weekend night?
