ART | BVLGARI's "B.zero1" Reimagined as Art

TOKYO PHOTO 2010 Opens

The largest art fair in Japan, focusing on photographic works, "TOKYO PHOTO," will be held again this year for four days from Friday, September 17th to Monday, October 20th (public holiday), at "academyhills 40" on the 40th floor of Roppongi Hills. Art and Luxury in Everyday Life

This year marks the second edition of "TOKYO PHOTO 2010," an international art event centered on photographic works. This exhibition brings together leading galleries from Japan and abroad, featuring a fair for the exhibition and sale of photographic works, special exhibitions by museums, and lectures by art and photography professionals. Building on the success of the previous event, this year's exhibition has been further enhanced, with over 500 works on display.

At "TOKYO PHOTO," which garners global attention, particularly from Asia, jeweler BVLGARI will host a special exhibition again this year. The popular "B.zero1" ring, arguably the brand's most iconic item, will be presented as a work of art! The artist behind this transformation is Anish Kapoor, described as "one of the most acclaimed artists in the world." How will the already perfectly designed and aesthetically flawless "B.zero1" be reborn? We invite you to experience the renewed brilliance of this special ring, presented as "wearable art," at the venue.

Talks by "Connoisseurs": "Editor's Choice, Collector's Choice"

Also not to be missed is "Editor's Choice, Collector's Choice," featuring cross-talks and panel discussions by editors, collectors, gallerists, and museum staff from Japan and the US. Particularly noteworthy is the talk show by a renowned "connoisseur" visiting from America.

James Danziger of Danziger Projects, who, as a feature editor for "Vanity Fair" in the 1980s, was instrumental in bringing Annie Leibovitz, now beloved by celebrities worldwide, to the magazine, will be visiting Japan again.

In the 1990s, he co-founded a celebrated gallery with artists like Leibovitz and Cartier-Bresson, later served as director of "Magnum Photos" in the US, and is currently planning "Kate Moss Projects," featuring photographs of Kate Moss by ten artists. He also represents "The Sartorialist," which captivated fashionistas globally, demonstrating his continued dynamic activity. What is the current state of the global art scene, and how do they perceive the Japanese photography and art scene within it? Discover the answers at the venue!

This exhibition began with the desire to make art more accessible. As you can actually purchase artworks, why not start a richer life with art through this opportunity?
