Yoichiro Ito, active as a musician, presents his first solo exhibition, 'NEW FACE,' revealing a new facet of his artistry as a painter.

Ito debuted domestically and in the UK as NATURAL ESSENCE, is known for numerous remix works with AKAKAGE, and has released several albums under his own name. He has demonstrated diverse talents across the domestic and international music scenes.

The subject he chooses for his paintings is 'faces.' These 'faces' do not represent specific individuals but are layered with metaphors for human emotions, experiences, and circumstances. This depth of expression invites contemplation from the viewer.

Why paint instead of making music?

To this question, he replied, "I feel music is deeply tied to the mundane." He added, "While seeking a space where I could feel more 'free,' away from the ephemeral things like social media, I discovered painting."

Now, with the experience accumulated across various fields centered around the music scene, he continues to explore new forms of expression. His future endeavors are certainly worth watching.
