Featuring a curated selection of photographs, films, and photobooks from seminal artists spanning the 1920s to the present, the exhibition showcases over 250 works by 90 artists in MoMA's Edward Steichen Gallery. It traces a century of photographic history through diverse artistic expressions.

The exhibition opens with a focus on photograms, a photographic process that creates images by placing objects directly onto photographic paper and exposing it to light, without a camera. Popular since the 1920s, this technique was notably explored by the renowned photographer Man Ray, who also referred to them as "rayographs." Visitors can admire Man Ray's intricate rayographs alongside his early film "Le Retour à la Raison" (The Return to Reason).
