Collaboration with Flower Artist Makoto Azuma

FENDI, the luxury brand representing Rome, Italy, opened a limited-time flower shop, "FENDI FLOWER SHOP by AZUMA MAKOTO," within its large pop-up store, "FENDI Ginza Store," from Saturday, March 26, 2016, to Sunday, April 17, 2016.




Through a special collaboration with Makoto Azuma, a Japanese flower artist active both domestically and internationally,2016 Spring/Summer Collectiona dreamlike "FLOWER LAND" bloomed with colorful flowers, as presented in the collection.

This is the second collaboration between FENDI and Azuma. This time, as an homage to "Hanami," the ancient Japanese custom of celebrating the arrival of spring, approximately 1,200 fox fur pompoms adorning the store's atrium "FUR TREE" have been colored a cherry blossom pink. FENDI and Azuma share a common spirit of trial and error from their unique perspectives, and the store interior has been vibrantly decorated.

The "Ape," an Italian three-wheeled vehicle, is an icon of the FENDI Ginza Store. For this event, the Ape, decorated with floral motifs and plants from the collection, becomes a limited-time flower shop. It will sell two types of original bouquets with bags by Makoto Azuma, the "FENDI FLOWERLAND Original Bouquet," and the "FENDI Bottle Flower" with fur charms meticulously crafted by FENDI artisans, in limited quantities.



On the evening of Friday, March 25, a grand celebratory event was held, attended by many celebrities including models Hikari Mori, Hana Matsushima, KELLY, LIZA, Kozue Akimoto, Noriko Maeda, Akutagawa Prize-winning author Keisuke Hada, and commentator Chris Peppler, who added to the opening's splendor.

The flower shop "FENDI FLOWER SHOP by AZUMA MAKOTO" is open until Sunday, April 17, 2016.
