Sales of Photographs and Limited Edition Photo T-shirts

WATARU, who garnered attention for his unconventional career and talented photographic works, began his career as a photographer in 2002 after working as a hairstylist in Paris. Currently based in Tokyo, he is active primarily in magazines, advertisements, and CD jackets, and has been involved in HYSTERIC GLAMOUR's projects since 2007. This exhibition is held in conjunction with the release of his latest image book.

The image book features three rock muses: Niagara from Destroy All Monsters, a source of inspiration for HYSTERIC GLAMOUR since its inception; Courtney Love, vocalist of HOLE and famously known as the wife of Kurt Cobain of Nirvana; and Jennifer Herrema, leader of Black Bananas, formerly RTX. The entire book was shot in New York and Detroit using 35mm black-and-white film.



The "DETROIT NEW YORK" exhibition will showcase works that embody HYSTERIC GLAMOUR's worldview, alongside large-format prints and gelatin silver prints of selected images from the book. Furthermore, during the exhibition period, photographic works and limited-edition photo T-shirts will be available for purchase, making it an unmissable event.
