From Classics to New Releases: A Sunday Night Sung by Soul

This week, we featured tracks including a new release from the brilliant artist Jamie Lidell, signed to Warp Records and considered a leading figure of 21st-century blue-eyed soul. We also played "Give Me Your Love," a cover of Curtis Mayfield's masterpiece by the female vocal group The Sisters Love, known as a club classic, and "I Want You" by the distinctive singer and rapper Cee-Lo, a member of Gnarls Barkley, which had been generating buzz even before its release. The program blended new and old soul.
