On Sunday night, enjoy standard songs with a slightly different flavor

This time, we presented standard songs that you are usually familiar with, but in a slightly different version. Perhaps you found it surprisingly fresh when listening side-by-side to Monica Zetterlund's Swedish rendition of Bobby Timmons and Oscar Brown Jr.'s "Dat Dere," the Danish version of Bobby Hebb's 1966 masterpiece "Sunny," and Anita O'Day's "Senor Blues" (Horace Silver). I would like to create opportunities to make such selections again.

TOKYO MOON-esque Selections at an NY-Style Italian Restaurant

"bERGAMO (Bergamo)" opened in Ebisu in December 2007. It's a popular restaurant from lunch to dinner, known for its dishes made with seasonal vegetables and ingredients. As a friend of mine runs it, I've been producing the in-store BGM since its opening. From Wednesday to Friday evenings, a DJ plays, selecting music to match the weather and the atmosphere of the restaurant that day, aiming to provide customers with a pleasant dining experience. I resonate with their policy of not charging a music fee, and when I'm in Tokyo, I almost always play there myself. Unlike a club, the selection style here is to let the music float, without disturbing meals or conversations, incorporating jazz, soul, and world music – truly aiming for a TOKYO MOON-esque selection. They also have a small bar, so you can stop by for a glass of wine or spumante. Please visit us at least once. We look forward to welcoming you with our friendly staff.
