From Africa to Latin America, the rhythms of the earth that move the soul

With the FIFA World Cup finals just under two months away, the African continent is drawing attention as the host. From the East, we bring you the latest ethno-groove from Mulate Astatke, the founder of Ethiopian groove, and from the West, Nigerian funky Afrobeat. And from New York rapper NAS and reggae legend Bob Marley's son Damian “Junior Gong” Marley's much-talked-about collaboration, we'll be broadcasting a mix of nostalgic and new tracks. With the long spell of bad weather finally behind us, just before the upcoming Golden Week holidays, TOKYO MOON's super funky festival begins, with the grooves of the earth making our hearts dance!

Tsuguya Inoue Exhibition "TALKING THE DRAGON"

REVIEW|PICK UP TOPICS

Art director Tsuguya Inoue, known for his striking graphic expressions in visual advertising for numerous major companies including fashion brand "COMME des GARÇONS," department store "PARCO," and beverage maker "Suntory," will hold his first solo exhibition, "TALKING THE DRAGON Tsuguya Inoue Exhibition," starting May 7 (Friday) at the "Ginza Graphic Gallery."

The exhibition features approximately 40 new graphic works created for this exhibition, born from a combination of natural inspiration and artificial motifs, alongside selected pieces from his renowned past works.

I remember being struck by the stoic and minimalist expression in his work when I first saw it in the 1980s, thinking it couldn't possibly be Japanese. Over twenty years later, I plan to visit Ginza to confirm that this impression remains unchanged.

To commemorate the exhibition, T-shirts featuring visuals from a collaboration with CLUB KING will also be produced. I'm really looking forward to these as well. Please check them out.
