Talkin Loud, the pioneering British club music label I was signed to during my time with U.F.O. (United Future Organization).

This label was instrumental in paving the way for major record companies to embrace dance music, and it spearheaded the global club jazz movement of the 1990s, launching numerous artists. To commemorate the label's 20th anniversary, I have curated a compilation album.

The selection features 12 tracks, blending new and classic artists such as U.F.O., Galliano, Incognito, Carl Craig, and 4Hero, all chosen to resonate with the atmosphere of 2010. I believe it will evoke fond memories for those who were there and offer a fresh discovery for newcomers.

The second compilation comes from Gilles Peterson, the former head of Talkin Loud and a globally active DJ, who has curated a selection from the iconic jazz label Blue Note Records.

This compilation features 15 tracks, spanning from 1955 to 2009, chosen with Peterson's unique musical perspective under the concept of 'jazz to listen to every day,' from Blue Note's vast catalog, which celebrated its 70th anniversary last year.

For this TOKYO MOON edition, we've selected five tracks from these two compilations, both centered around the theme of 'jazz.' If you hear something that strikes a chord on the program, we encourage you to explore the full albums.
