Continuously Developing New Projects

NakamuraWhen Fujimaki-san left, and I felt it was time for me to leave too, my parents mentioned they might close the trattoria on the first and second floors. So, I was convinced that if the cafe on the fifth floor with only stairs was a great success, the first and second floors would surely succeed, and I proposed to my parents that they let me take over. That's when I quit my job and created 'Transit'.



NakamuraIt is (laughs). With the recognition of 'sign' and 'Claska', we started receiving more production offers. We also gained the capacity to open our own directly managed stores, so we did that too. From there, we flowed into producing and operating cafes and restaurants, producing hotels, condominiums, and commercial facilities, and office towers, gradually expanding. It's been about nine years now.

ItoWow! You accomplished all that in such a short time.

NakamuraAlso, because I had many connections in the fashion industry, having previously worked at Isetan, I received many invitations during the heyday of opening parties for luxury brands in Omotesando and Ginza. The very first event I handled was to recreate an event held by Dior in Paris, and the condition was to gather 50 handsome waiters. I thought it was absolutely impossible, but surprisingly, we managed to gather them (laughs). Since then, as these handsome men started catering for other parties, the reputation that 'Transit has many handsome men' spread, leading to an increase in catering requests. Now, we handle about 30-40 cases per month and operate it as a separate company.
