In collaboration with the trusted furniture brand "Karimoku," renowned for its wooden BE@RBRICK manufacturing, seven types of drought-resistant wood—beech, walnut, cherry, chestnut, oak, amur cork, and maple—were sourced from Hokkaido. This resulted in a unique BE@RBRICK, with different wood species used for each part: the face, arms, torso, and legs.

Beyond their charming appearance, simply admiring the distinct wood grain of each piece is fascinating, serving as a reminder of the rich expressiveness of wood. The species name is inscribed in both Japanese and English on the wood surface. By conveying the warmth of wood and fostering a deeper connection with it, these pieces seem well-suited not only for adults but also for children's wood education.

Furthermore, to minimize environmental impact, the product packaging uses virgin cardboard made from recycled materials, and the inner blister pack, designed to protect against shipping shock, is made from recycled PET resin.

Five percent of the proceeds from this sale will be donated to more trees to support forest conservation activities.




As part of DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2009's TIDE Extension, an exhibition "ISETAN × more trees" (October 28 - November 10) will be held on the 5th floor living floor of Isetan Main Store, where in-store orders will be accepted for a limited 10 units.
