Ryuichi Sakamoto Playing The Piano 2009,
the Professor's family arrived in Nagasaki. Today's venue is the Nagasaki Civic Hall.
Tonight's concert is an "Italian Directors Special."
Music from Brian De Palma's "Femme Fatale,"
and Bernardo Bertolucci's "The Last Emperor" and "The Sheltering Sky,"
as well as "1900," were performed.
When in Italy, one truly experiences Sakamoto as a "global artist."
Having worked with Bertolucci, the Professor is deeply cherished by the Italian audience!
The moving story of his encounter with Bertolucci and their collaboration is detailed in "Music Is Free."
And the encores tonight were packed with incredibly beat-driven songs!
On this day, "1919" made its debut, and the Nagasaki night concluded with thunderous applause and an "intense finish."
