Antoine d’Agata Exhibition “SITUATIONS” Now On!
Special Interview Coming Soon

Rat Hole Gallery is currently hosting Antoine d’Agata’s exhibition “SITUATIONS” until February 1, 2008 (closed Mondays and from December 28 to January 6).

Born in Marseille, France, in 1961, d’Agata began his photography career after studying at the International Center of Photography in New York under Nan Goldin and Larry Clark. He received the Niépce Prize in 2001 for “Home Town,” a series on his native Marseille, and the 20th Higashikawa Award for Overseas Photographers in 2005 for “Insomnia.” He joined Magnum Photos in 2004 and currently works as an associate member, traveling the world without a fixed residence.

Antoine d’Agata visited Japan for the opening of this solo exhibition at Rat Hole Gallery. We had the opportunity to speak with him, along with the OPENERS editorial team, about his thoughts on this exhibition and his approach to photography.

We will be sharing the details of this interview in our upcoming issues, so please look forward to it.(Nobuhiko Kitamura)
