Jane Birkin, an icon of mature womanhood.

Jane, once the muse of Serge Gainsbourg, is not only an actress and singer but also the mother of celebrated French actresses Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, embodying an aspirational figure for many women.

She is currently one of the most captivating adult women in the world.
Her close friend, the charismatic photographer Gabrielle Crawford, has captured her image over many years.

To commemorate Jane Birkin's visit to Japan,
ESPACE 218 (L'ECLAIREUR TOKYO 2F)an exhibition of photographs chronicling her life and career will be held.

Jane Birkin (Singer / Actress)
Born in London in 1946. After a career in modeling, she moved to France. Cast in the lead role for the film "Slogan," she met composer Serge Gainsbourg and went on to produce hit songs such as "Je t'aime... moi non plus." As a French style icon, she has since enjoyed global popularity as a singer, actress, and director.

Gabrielle Crawford (Photographer)
A charismatic photographer with a 45-year career capturing images and films.
In 1964, she married actor Michael Crawford. Through this marriage, she delved into the world of film still photography, contributing to numerous television and film productions. Subsequently, she also began creating live performance visuals and album covers.

In 2004, Gabrielle collaborated with British icon Jane Birkin to produce her first feature-length documentary.
Following this, Gabrielle produced the Arabesque concert, releasing a highly successful album and DVD.
At the request of the Art Council, she organized a tribute exhibition to Jane Birkin titled “Entente Cordial Celebrations” at the Publicis Drugstore on the Champs-Élysées, and in September 2006, her work was featured as the main exhibition at Art Club London.

Her portrait subjects have ranged from John Lennon to Margaret Thatcher.
A photobook of Jane Birkin was published by Flammarion in Paris and Germany.
