Scotch Whisky "Chivas Regal" Hosts International Competition
Scotch whisky brand Chivas Regal held its first-ever cocktail competition, "The Chivas Regal," in New York in July. Bartender Masahiro Urushido, representing the United States, emerged victorious, earning the title of the first "Chivas Master."

13 Finalists Advance After Winning Local Competitions Worldwide
"The Chivas Regal" explored the next generation of classic cocktails under the theme "Timeless Luxury," hosting local competitions in 13 countries and regions including the UK, USA, Dubai, Japan, and China. Representatives were selected from four distinct eras of Chivas Regal Scotch whisky's history, with each era inspiring a unique cocktail creation.
The winning bartender, Masahiro Urushido, works at "Saxon + Parole" in New York, having won the US competition. Representing Japan was Mitsuhiro Nakamura from "Peter: The Bar" at The Peninsula Tokyo, showcasing the skill of Japanese bartenders.
The Global Final Takes Place in New York
On July 14th and 15th, finalists gathered in New York for the Global Final. The competition, spanning six rounds, assessed participants on their performance, knowledge of cocktail culture, creativity, and the taste of their cocktails.
The first round featured the cocktails created during the local competitions. Urushido presented "NEW PAL," a modern interpretation of the historic "Old Pal," while Nakamura crafted "ENDLESS BEAUTY," symbolizing the strength and beauty of women in bygone eras, both earning praise from the judges. Following the comprehensive six-round evaluation, Urushido was crowned the first "Chivas Master."

Nakamura's Whisky Cocktail to be Featured from September 1st!
Nakamura's "ENDLESS BEAUTY," showcased at "The Chivas Regal," will be available at "Peter: The Bar" at The Peninsula Tokyo starting September 1st. This cocktail, inspired by the 1980s when sweet and colorful drinks were popular, is a short cocktail that reimagines the "Cosmopolitan" with Chivas Regal 12 Year Old. Accented with a cherry blossom syrup that represents traditional Japanese beauty, its vibrant pink ruby hue is striking. We invite you to experience "ENDLESS BEAUTY," a cocktail that captivated global experts.
